spitfires/" 4320 rel="nofollow" target="_self"> Sukhumvit Spitfires extended their winning streak to four games by beating Sport Corner-Titanium 7-4.

In game two, both teams were missing key players as Sport Corner-Titanium was without SHL leading scorer John Schachnovsky and their captain Zak Garofolo, while the Sukumvit Spitfires were without their captain Brad Wilson and their star player, Donny Kerfoot. Trailing 5-2 at the end of the second period, Sport Corner-Titanium scored two quick goals early in the third to draw within one of the Spitfires, but Ernesto Bauer added the clincher, after earlier scoring the eventual winning goal, and Jason Bitter tallied the final marker into an empty net to seal the win for Sukhumvit. David Boere (with a nifty move in front on the neck), Simon Rindlisbacher (with a howitzer), Garrett Howden, and Adrian Meyers also scored for Sukhumvit on the night. Jouni Heinonen (returning from injury); substitute Ichiro Hara (on a top-corner blast); Jari Eerikainen; and Rob Taylor, (on a beautiful end-to-end rush), scored for SC-Titanium. Taylor became the first player (non-goalie) in SHL history to sub for two teams in one night as he substituted for AWARE in the first game.

Lance Parker won his fourth straight for Sukhumvit stopping 28 of the 32 shots AWARE fired at him, while Ernesto Bauer, with his spectacular two-goal performance, was the Rolling Stone Pizza player-of-the-game for Sukhumvit.

John Schachnovsky’s 24 points (15 goals and 9 assists) still leads the SHL; Mike Wilson’s fifteen points (6 goals & 9 assists) have him tied in second spot with Brandon Vick who has 10 goals and 5 assists; SC-Titanium’s captain Zak Garofolo sits in third with 5 goals and 9 assists; and AWARE’s captain Patrik Lundback rounds out the top five with 4 goals and 9 assists.

Week twelve SHL action continues on Sunday February 19th at “the Rink”, Central Grand Rama 9, with the spitfires/" 4320 rel="nofollow" target="_self"> Sukhumvit Spitfires battling Hooters Nana at 8:30 and AWARE taking on SC-Titanium at 9:30pm.
