Game 6 – 5th Dec 2016

Aware came storming out of the dressing room grounding the Spitfires before they could even get their landing gear up. The Spitfires misfired and sputtered all night, as their replacement players couldn’t seem to gel with the veterans on the Sukhumvit squad. The result, Aware scored seven goals for the second consecutive week, shutting-out Sukhumvit in the process.

Devin Michael had two goals for Aware while Corry Day, making his league debut, and Tewin “Thor” Chetsuwan had a goal and an assist each. Single goal scorers for Aware were Ryan Haynes, Chanockchan “Tan” Limpinphat, and    Papan “Yean” Thanakroekkiat. Yean, owner of the hardest shot in the league, was the Rolling Stone Pizza player of the game.

Kenora, Ontario, native Lance Parker made 16 saves subbing for regular Aware keeper Yves Gaboriault, recording the first shut-out in SHL history. Jason Cotsmire turned aside 21of the 28 shots he faced on the night for Sukhumvit.
