In our first game of the night on February 23, 2020 at 8:30 pm we had the Novotel Spitfires vs Aware. The Novotel Spitfires started things off with just under 6 minutes left in the first period with a goal by Brad Wilson, but Aware answered back and took the lead with goals by Sen Verdy and Eric Eustace. The Spitfires tied this up when Mike Freeson scored, but Aware took the lead again when Eustace scored his second of the night and increased their lead to two when Devin Michael scored. The third period had Novotel score two goals, one by Robin Lehmann and one by Freeson to tie things up, and then take the lead with a goal by Winnie Luckanatinakorn. With 7 minutes left in the game, Mat Sigel of Aware tied things and Justin St-Denis scored the game winner, earning himself the Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game.
