On November 15, 2020 at 9:00 pm we had Novotel Spitfires vs Siam Mandalay. Siam Mandalay started things off when Turner Johnson scored off of a pass from Alex Phelps just under three minutes into the start of the game. Less than a minute into the second period, Yean Thankroekkiat hit Johnson with a pass who split the Novotel Spitfires’ defense and hit captain, Jordan Ashton with a back hand pass who fired one past Ben Kleineschay to put Siam Mandalay up by two goals. About seven minutes into the third period, Novotel Spitfires captain, Mike Freeson received a pass from Ken Kindborn to put Novotel on the board, with the second assist coming from Tomas Stastny. With just two minutes left in the game, Kindborn tried things up for Novotel Spitfires with the assist coming from Stastny. With just ten seconds left the game, Freeson scores the game winning goal with the assist coming from Mangkorn Sukwiboon. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the game went to Ben Kkeineshcay for his outstanding play between the pipes.
In our second game of the night, at 10:00 pm, we had Aware vs KCG. At almost eight minutes into the first period, Andy Tse found Time Phatigulsate who hit Winnie Luckanatinakorn who scored for KCG. Just over a minute later had Michael White receive a pass from Jan Isaksson and put the puck past Lance Parker to put KCG up by two. With just over two minutes left in the second period, Jari Eerikainen went coast to coast and put KCG up by three goals. Just over a minute into the third period, Mel Dhiranusornkit found Time Phatigulsate who found Winnie Luckanatinakorn who got his second goal of the night. At about the ten minute mark, Aware finally got on the board when David Boere hit Roman Larin with a pass who rifled the puck past Leo Liao. With just four seconds left in the game, KCG’s captain, Harrison Oztemel hit Gabe Rosco who found Jan Isaksson who scored on Parker to finish the game off 5-1 for KCG. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the game went to Leo Liao for stopping 28 of 29 shots.
Our Jerky Monster Play of the Week went to Turner Johnson who split the Spitfires’ defense with a backhand pass to Jordan Ashton for a power play goal.
