What a whirlwind of games we’ve had for the semi-finals. We had two upsets in the semi-finals. The first one was in the games between the #3 TRUE and the #2 Novotel Spitfires. TRUE swept the Novotel Spitfires in this series. In our second series we had #1 Aware going head to head with #4 Hertz. This series went to 3 games but Hertz finished off Aware to advance to the final in a hope of back to back cups.

On March 7th, 2019, we had our second games of the semi-finals. In the first game we had TRUE facing off against the Novotel Spitfires. This game went back and forth for all three periods, and was a stalemate in the 3-on-3 overtime period forcing a shootout. Jordan Ashton of TRUE went first, scoring on sub goalie, Gabor Toth and Ken Kindborn of the Spitfires buried the puck in TRUE’s net minder, Lance Parker’s pads. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Jordan Ashton for his game winning goal in the sudden death shootout.

On March 3rd, 2019, we hard our first games of the semi-finals. In our second game of the night we had the Novotel Spitfires going head to head with TRUE. TRUE really controlled this game and won it 5-3. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Jordan Ashton for his two goals on the night.

On February 24th, 2019, we had our last games before the playoffs. In the first game we had TRUE vs Aware. In this game, TRUE had an amazing game and shutout Aware 3-0. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the game went to Lance Parker for his shutout.

In our first game of the night we had the Novotel Spitfires vs TRUE. This was a hard fought game by both teams finishing regular time 3-3. Going thought the 4 minute 3-on-3 scoreless forcing a shootout overtime with Johnny Oduya scoring the game winner for TRUE and earning himself the Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game.
In our second game of the night at 9:30 we had Aware vs Hertz. The Big Red Juggernaut did what they do best and dominated the game from start to finish winning 6-1. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Caley Steinert for her outstanding defensive play on the night.

In our first game of the night on February 10, 2019 at 8:30 we had the Novotel Spitfires vs TRUE. This was a close game that went down to a shootout with Johnny Oduya scoring the game winning goal, for TRUE, earning himself the Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game.

We had two nights of games this week. The first night of games was on February 3rd. In the first game at 8:30 we had Hertz vs the Novotel Spitfires. This game went back and forth with Hertz winning it in overtime 5-4. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Stephen Sproule for getting the game winner.
In our second game of the night at 9:30 we had TREU vs Aware. Aware completely dominated this game winning it 8-3. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Phu Suwachirat for his hat trick.
In our second game of the night on February 07, 2019 at 8:30 we had Aware vs the Novotel Spitfires. The Spitfires finally turned things around in 2019 by winning this one 4-1. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player the Game went to Ernesto Bauer for his 2 goals on the night and his aggressive offensive play all night.
In our second game at 9:30 we had TRUE vs Hertz. True just dominated this game winning it 7-3 with Jesse Starosta getting the Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game for his hat trick.

In our second game of the night on February 07, 2019 we had TRUE vs Hertz. TRUE dominated this game from the outset and won 7-3. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Jesse Starosta for getting his first hat trick in the SHL.

In our first game of the night, we had Aware vs the Novotel Spitfires. Aware handed the Spitfires another loss with a 5-1 victory. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Christian Olofsson for his great defensive play all night.
In our second game of the night, we had TRUE facing off against Hertz. Hertz fought hard to win this one 4-3. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Hertz captain, Justin St. Denis for his 3 points on the night.
