On November 17th, 2019 in our first game of the night, we had the #1 PEAK vs a struggling Aware. PEAK started things off quickly, but Aware fought back to win it 7-4. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Corry Day for his 3 goals and an assist.

October 11, 2018 – Week 1 News

We had a great Week 1! Things started off with our opening ceremony which was emceed by DJ PK.

In our first game we had a face-off between last seasons championship game, Hertz and Aware. Things were pretty evenly matched, ending the first period 0-0. Hertz scored 2 goals in the second period, with Aware cutting Hertz’s lead in half when they scored with 4 minutes left in the second. In the third period, Aware just opened things up, scoring 4 unanswered goals in the third to give them a 5-2 win over Hertz.

The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to the hot young player out of Pattaya, Aaro Vuorma for scoring 2 goals late in the game.

In our second game, we had the Novotel Spitfires going head to head with TRUE. Both teams scored two goals in the first period, with the Spitfires scoring 2 more in the second period. TRUE tried to make a comeback and scored one early in the third period, but the Spitfires sealed the deal by scoring their fifth goal of the night with just under 4 minutes left in the game.

The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Corry Day for putting up a hat trick and adding and assist.

In our second game of the night between the Novotel Spitfires vs TRUE, Corry Day won the Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game hands down by notching a hat trick and adding an assist to finish things up.

Game 2 of the Semi-Finals, March 04, 2018

On March 04, 2018, we had our second round of the semi-finals. In the first game, we had Hertz going against the Sukhumvit Spitfires. Harrison Oztemel of the Sukhumvit Spitfires started this one off in the first period by scoring two goals. Hertz answered back in the second period by scoring three goals, the first two by Hertz captain, Justin St. Denis and the the third goal a fluky short handed goal by Andy Brine. Richie Jiaravana tied things up in the third period, but Bill Bredesen and Kim Lidberg scored empty netters at the end of the game to finish this one off 6-3 as well as send Hertz to the final game.

In our second game of the night at 8:30, we had Aware vs Expedia. Expedia started this one off 45 seconds into the first period with a short handed goal by Juhani Ijas. In the second period, Aware answered back with three goals, one by Ryan Yaden, Patrik Lundback and Corry Day. Less than a minute into the third period saw Expedia bring it within in one with a goal by Patrick Forstner. With less then ten minutes left in the game, Yean Thanakroekkiat scored one for Aware to increase their lead to two. With a minute ad a half left in the game, Expedia pull their goalie in the hopes of scoring two quick goals, but the bounces just didn’t go their way, and Aware’s Thanakrokkiat scored his second of the night with an empty netter to give Aware a win 5-2 and to send Aware into the finals with Hertz.

Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game Corry Day of Aware – March 04, 2018

In our second round of the semi-finals, in our second game of the night, we had Aware going head to head with Expedia. Expedia opened his one up in the first period when Juhani Ijas score a power play goal. In the second period, Aware answered back with three goals, each scored by Ryan Yaden, Patrik Lundback, and Corry Day, Early in the third period, Patrick Forstner scored for Expedia to bring it within in one. With just under ten minutes left in the game, Yean Thanakroekkiat scored an unassisted goal to increase Aware’s lead to two again. With just under two minutes left in the game, Expedia pulled their netminder in the hopes of scoring two quick goals, but with 30 seconds left in the game, Thanakroekkiat scored his second of the night, this one an empty netter to finish this one off for Aware 5-2. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Corry Day for his incredible play in the offensive zone, scoring a goal and getting an assist.

The Sport Corner Siam Hockey League News Week 9 – January 21-27, 2018

Our 9th week of games started off on January 21st.

In our first game we had Aware facing off against Hertz. Hertz did a great job of keeping the game close by only allowing 1 goal in the first period and 2 more by the end of the second period. Early in the third period saw Hertz really fighting to try and make a come back an scoring 2 goals, but Aware were just 2 much for them, scoring 4 more goals in the third period to finish the game 7-2. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Ollie Moyse.

Our second game fo the night had the Sukhumvit Spitfires going head to head with Expedia. We saw the game tied at the end of the first period 1-1. The second period saw the Spitfires take the lead by 2 goals to make it 3-1. The third period saw both teams score one more goal a piece, to finish it off Spitfires 4, Expedia 2. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Tan Limpinphet for his goal and assist.

Our second night of games was January 25, 2018. In our first game of the night at 8:30, we had Expedia going head to head with Hertz. These 2 teams have faced each other 4 times with each team winning 2 games. The end of the first period saw Expedia up 2-1. The second period saw Juhani Ijas of Expedia scoring his second of the night, as well as Sebastien Ranger of Hertz scoring one with Expedia still leading 3-2. The third period saw lots of action with Expedia scoring 2 more and Juhani getting a hat-trick and Hertz scoring 4 goals to win this one 6-5. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to captain, Justin St. Denis for his 2 goals and great play at both ends of the rink.

In our second game of the night we has Aware facing off against the Sukhumvit Spitfires. The Spitfires drew first blood with a goal 5 minutes in, but they couldn’t answer Aware who scored 4 unanswered goals in the first period. The second period saw Aware scoring 1 more and the Spitfires scoring 3 goals to bring them within 1. The final period saw Aware seal the Spitfires fate scoring 2 more goals to finish things off 7-4. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Corry Day for netting a hat-trick.

In our second game of the night on January 25, 2018, we had Aware going head to head with the Sukhumvit Spitfires. The first period saw the Aware take an early lead of 4-1. The second period saw the Spitfires close the gap, but still behind with a score of 5-4. The Spitfires just couldn’t get it done in this one, and Aware scored 2 more goals to finish the game 7-4. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Corry Day for his Patrick in this one.
