SiamMandalay vs Lexicon Lumberjacks – May 14, 2023 – Get Fresh Player of the Game Mike Freeson

On May 14, 2023 in our second game of the semifinals between SiamMandalay and the Lexicon Lumberjacks. In the first period, SiamMandalay came out and scored three unanswered goals, one from Tom Stastny and two from captain Mike Freeson. In the second period, Lexicon Lumberjacks reduce the lead to one with goals from Ken Kindborn and captain Justin St-Denis. With less than two minutes left in the game, Stastny scored his second of the night, which was an empty net goal, but with just five seconds left in the game, Kindborn scored again, but it just wasn’t enough for the Lumberjacks to push to game three with the final being SiamMandalay 4, Lexicon Lumberjacks 3. The Get Fresh Player of the game went to SiamMandalay captain, Mike Freeson for two goals and two assits.

Lexicon Lomberjacks vs SiamMandalay – May 11, 2023 – Get Fresh Player of the Game Mike Freeson

The SHL playoffs started off on May 11, 2023. In our first game of the night, we had the regular season winners, Lexicon Lumberjacks facing off against the number four seed, SiamMandalay. Mike Freeson, captain of SiamMandalay started things off in style with the opening goal less than a minute into the first period. Kim Aarola tied things up for the Lexicon Lumberjacks early in the second period, but SiamMandalay scored three unanswered goals, one by Tom Stastny, one by CJ Gamble and a second by Freeson, which gave Freeson the Get Fresh Player of the Game.

Aware vs SiamMandalay – January 15, 2023 – Get Fresh Player of the Game

On January 15, 2023, in our first game of the night, we had Aware going head to head with SiamMandalay. SiamMandalay took and early lead, but in the third, Aware did their best to come back, but there just wasn’t enough time. SiamMandalay won this one 4-2 with the Get Fresh Player of the Game going to SiamMandalay captain, Mike Freeson.

SHL News Week 13

This week, Dom and Zack are joined in the studio by the first 100 point winner in the SHL, Harrison Oztemel.

Dom and Zack have a conversation with KCG captain, Harrison Oztemel about Oztemel’s opinion about Week 13’s games.

In the first game of the night at 9:00 pm we had Aware facing off against Oztemel’s KCG. At the end of the first period, Aware were leading 2-1. The second period was a completely different story as KCG scored three unanswered goals to make it 4-1 for KCG. The third period was a more even game with both teams scoring two goals, but it just wasn’t enough for Aware. The final score of the game was Aware 4 KCG 6.

The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Pann Hongswadhi for his goal and two assists.

In our second game of the night, at 10:00 pm we had Novotel Spitfires vs Siam Mandalay. Siam Mandalay started things off early with goal by Tan Limpinphet. Sadly, that was all for Siam Mandalay. In the second period, Novotel Spitfires scored three goal, one by Michael White and two by Mike Freeson. The third period was much the same with Novotel scored three goals, one from Seb Verdy, one by Ken Kindborn and one by Major Ingkharratphithakon.

The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to the Novotel Spitfires captain, Mike Freeson for his two goals and assist.

Novotel Spitfires vs Aware February 07, 2021 – Rolling Stone Pizza PoG Mike Freeson

In our first game of the night, we had the Novotel Spitfires going against Aware. Novotel starting things off scoring three goals in the first period, one from Mike Freeson, Ken Kindborn and Mangkorn Sukwiboon. Aware finally got on the board in the second period with a goal from Masato Kitayama. Early in the third period, Aware brought it within one goal when Roman Larin. Freeson stopped the comeback when he scored his second of the night, earning himself the Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game.

SHL News Week 7

In our first game of the night on November 29, 2020 at 9:00 pm we had the Novotel Spitfires going head to head with Aware. The Spitfires came out on fire with goals by Tomas Stastny, and Major Ingkharratphithakon in the first period. This was followed up by three goals in the second period, one my Novotel Spitfires captain, Mike Freeson, Ken Kindborn and another my Ingkharratphithakon. Early in the third period, Aware did finally get on the board with a goal by Masato Kitayama and Arnold Vattanapanyakul. The Novotel Spitfires answered right back with a goals by Freeson and Stastny. Aware did finish the night off with a goal by Peam Jaratwuttipreeda, but the final score of the night was Novotel Spitfires 7 Aware 3. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Major Ingkharratphithakon for his two goals and an assist.

In our second game of the night, at 10:00 pm, we had KCG facing off against Siam Mandalay. KCG started things off with a goal by Jan Isaksson in the first period. The second period had KCG increase their lead to two when Mel Dhiranusornkit, put one in. The third period saw Siam Mandalay tie things up with a goal by Patrick Forstner and Darius Konotopetz, forcing an overtime period. Turner Johnson of Siam Mandalay scored the game winning goal in the third period. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Mel Dhiranusornkit for some outstanding offensive and defensive play all night long.

Our Jerky Monster Play of the Week went to Turner Johnson for his game winning overtime goal.

Our Prime Burger Offensive Player of the Month went to Mike Freeson of the Novotel Spitfires. Our Prime Burger Defensive player of the Month went to Jari Eerikainen of KCG. Our Prime Burger Goalie of the Month went to Ben Kleineschay of the Novotel Spitfires.

Aware vs Novotel Spitfires November 15, 2020 – Rolling Stone Pizza PoG Mike Freeson

In our second game of the night, at 10:00 pm, we had Aware facing off against the Novotel Spitfires. Things were pretty back and forth in the first period with neither team getting many scoring opportunities. The Novotel Spitfires scored two goals early in the second period. The first from Major Ingkharratphithakon, and the second from their captain, Mike Freeson. Early in the third period, John Schachnovsky put Aware on the board with a shot the bounced off of the Spitfires netminder, Lance Parker. Freeson increased Novotel’s lead to two again when he scored an unassisted goal in the middle of the third period. Aware tied things up with a goal by Roger Promthong and Roman Larin. With just 45 seconds left in the game, Ken Kindborn of the Novotel Spitfires scored an unassisted goal for the win. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Mike Freeson for his two goals.

SHL News Week 4

We had some surprising events and some not so surprising events this week.

In our first game of the week, at 9:00 pm, we had KCG vs Siam Mandalay. Dream Ungkulpattanasuk had a rough start, letting in four goals in the first 12 minutes of play. The goals were scored by Jan Isaksson, Winnie Luckanatinakorn, Jesse Starosta, and Phu Suwachirat. Siam Mandalay did finally get on the board when sub Hideki Nagayama launched a sweet back hand past KCG’s netminder, Leo Liao with just over three minutes left in the first period. After this, Dream Ungkulpattanasuk found his pace and prevented any more pucks entering the net until there was about a minute and a half left in the second period and Isaksson scored his second of the night. Turner Johnson did score for Siam Mandalay early in the third period, but it just wasn’t enough to revive Mandalay and the final score was 5-2 for KCG. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Jan Isaksson for his two goals on the night.

In our second game, things started off with some fire works as there was some trouble between Aware’s captain, Justin St-Denis and Aware’s goalie, Gabor Toth. Things calmed down a little bit, and both teams had a really solid first period. Early in the second period, Major Ingkharratphithakon started things off for the Novotel Spitfires when he received a pass from Mangkorn Sukwiboon and found the back of the net. Novotel’s captain, Mike Freeson scored their second goal with the assists coming from Tomas Stastny and Ralf Dittmer. Early in the third period, Aware went on a power play and John Schachnovsky bounced a puck off of Spitfires goalie, Lance Parker to put Aware on the board. Freeson increased Novotel’s lead to two again when he stole the puck in the neutral zone and scored an unassisted goal. Aware tied things up by scoring two goals, one by rookie Roger Promthong and one by Roman Larin. Things looked like we were going to head into overtime when Ken Kindborn of Novotel fired one past Gabor Toth with 45 seconds left in the game to give them the win. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Mike Freeson for his two goals on the night.

The Jerky Monster Play of the Week went to Roman Larin for his quick goal in the third period to tie the game up for Aware.

In the down time this week, we had some major changes in the league. Gabor Toth, goaltender for Aware decided it was time to step down, and the Novotel Spitfires gave up one of their goalies, Lance Parker, to replace Toth.
