On March 14, 2021, in our first game of the night at 9:00 pm, we had Novotel Spitfires vs KCG. KCG got off to an early start with a goal from Patrick Forstner, which was assisted by Gabe Rosko. The Novotel Spitfires answered right back with a goal from Tomas Stastny, with the assists coming from Scott Murray and Seb Verdy. With just over three minutes left in the first period, KCG took the lead with a goal from Jesse Starosta with the assist coming from Forstner. With about a minute and a half left in the first period, Forstner increased KCG’s lead to two after receiving an assist from Jan Isaksson. In the second period, the Spitfires tied things up with goals from Christoph Anliker, assists coming from Andrew Ross and Michael White, and a short handed goal from Ken Kindborn, with the assist coming from Mangkorn Sukwiboon. Early in the third period, Novotel took the lead with a goal from captain, Mike Freeson, which was assisted by Murray. KCG’s captain, Harrison Oztemel tied things up, the assist from Andy Tse, and then Punn Phasukkjwatana, which was assisted by Forstner. With just forty-five seconds left in the game, KCG increased their lead to two when Starosta scored his second of the night, which was assisted by Oztemel. The Spitfires never gave up, and Freeson scored with just sixteen seconds left in the game, which was assisted by Tomas Stastny. The Final score of the game was Novotel Spitfires 5 and KCG 6, giving the Spitfires their second loss of the season.
We’ve just finished off the eleventh week of the SHL.
In our first game of the night, we had KCG going head to head with Siam Mandalay. This was really a game physical play vs a game of skill play. At the end of the first period, the score was tied one-one with a goal by Ernesto Bauer for Siam Mandalay and a goal by Jan Isaksson for KCG. In the second period, Siam Mandalay took the lead and increased it to two with both goals coming from Turner Johnson. Early in the third period, Siam Mandalay increased their lead to three with a goal by Darius Konotopetz. With just over five minutes left in the third period, it was like Siam Mandalay just ran out of gas and KCG’s Jan Isaksson scored, followed by a goal from Peam Jaratwuttipreada. Isaksson tied things up with just over two minutes left in the game and Patrick Forstner getting the game winning goal with less than thirty seconds left in the game.

The fist game of the night was Aware vs KCG. This was the best game that Aware has played to date, but they just couldn’t put all the things in the right place and KCG won this one 3-2.
The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Time Phatigulsate for his goal and assist.
In the second game of the night, at 10:00 pm, it was Siam Mandalay vs the Novotel Spitfires. Siam Mandalay scored the first and only goal in the first period with Patrick Forstner going coast to coast and firing one past Ben Kleineschay. In the second period, The Novotel Spitfires tied things up with a goal by Tomas Stastny, and took the lead when Ed McConnell put one in. Just a minute after McConnell’s goal, Siam Mandalay tied things up with a goal by Homme Thaiyanont and then took the lead with just thirty-one seconds left in the period with a goal by Mike Wilson. The third period was all Siam Mandalay with one goal each by Darius Konotpetz, Yean Thanakroekkiat and Turner Johnson to make the final score 6-2 for Siam Mandalay.
In our first game of the night we had Hertz going head to head with PEAK. With so many players missing from Hertz’s lineup, they just couldn’t keep up with PEAK and PEAK won this one 9-2. The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Patrick Forstner for getting a hat-trick on the night.
