In the second round of the semi-finals, in the first game, we had Hertz facing off against the Sukhumvit Spitfires.  The Spitfires opened this one up by scoring two goals in the first period, both by Harrison Oztemel.  Hertz answered back in the second period with three goals, two by Justin St. Denis and a short handed goal by Andy Brine.  In the third period, the Spitfires tied it up with a goal by Richie Jiravannon.  With just over six minutes left in the game, Hertz took the lead again with a goal by Brandon Vick.  With two minutes left in the game, the Spitfires pulled their goalie in hopes tying it up, but Hertz’s Bill Bredesen scored an empty netter to increase their lead to two and then with two seconds left in the game, Kim Lidberg scored the final goal of the night for Hertz to end the game 6-3 with Hertz sweeping the Spitfires.  The Rolling Stone Pizza Player of the Game went to Justin St. Denis for his two goals and one helper.
